pr0d / LEGAL
Terms of service.
These terms cover the pr0d dashboard, API, SDKs, and websites. By creating an account or adding pr0d to an application, you agree to them. If you are doing so for a company, you confirm you can bind it.
What pr0d is
pr0d provides identity and wallet infrastructure for applications: sign-in methods, sessions, second factors, account recovery, and embedded wallets. You integrate it into your application and remain responsible for the application itself, including its own profiles, permissions, and business logic.
pr0d is in early access. Features can change, and some described on pr0d.io or in the docs are marked as planned or in development. We will give notice of changes that remove functionality you rely on.
Your account
- You need a valid email address. Keep it current; it is how we reach you and how you recover access.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you give access to it.
- Tell us promptly at security@pr0d.io if you believe your account or an application key has been compromised.
Your applications and your users
You decide which sign-in methods and factors your application offers and what you ask your users for. For your users’ data, you are the controller and pr0d is your processor, as described in the privacy policy. You agree to:
- Have a lawful basis for collecting your users’ data and a privacy notice that covers pr0d’s role.
- Handle your users’ requests about their data, and pass to us any part we need to act on.
- Comply with the terms of any social provider you turn on (Apple, Google, X, Privage).
- Keep the “Protected by pr0d” attribution where the SDK shows it, as set out in the brand guidelines.
Acceptable use
You may not use pr0d to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else to.
- Sign people in to a service that deceives them, harvests their credentials, or impersonates another organisation.
- Probe, overload, or interfere with pr0d or other customers’ applications, except through coordinated security research reported to security@pr0d.io.
- Resell pr0d as a stand-alone service, or use it to build a competing identity service.
- Use pr0d Wallet for activity that is unlawful where you or your users are.
We may suspend an application or account that breaks these rules. We will tell you why, and restore access once the problem is fixed where we reasonably can.
Fees
pr0d is currently free to use during early access. If we introduce paid plans, we will publish pricing and give existing accounts at least 30 days’ notice before any charge applies to them.
Ownership
You own your application and your users’ data. We own pr0d, its software, and its brand. You may use the pr0d name and logo only as the brand guidelines allow. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
Availability and support
We aim to keep pr0d available and to tell you about planned maintenance in advance, but during early access we do not offer a service-level commitment. Support is by email and through the docs.
Warranties and liability
pr0d is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or business. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid none.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We can end or suspend the service for a breach of these terms, for a legal requirement, or, with 30 days’ notice, if we stop offering pr0d. After termination, you can export your data for 30 days, after which we delete it as described in the privacy policy.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its date, and email account holders at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use pr0d after that date means you accept the new terms.
